How to enable Night Shift (Blue Light Filtering) on iPad
This will outline how you (or your child) can turn on the Night Shift Feature, which reduces the amount of blue light used in the display on the iPad. This will shift the colours to be warmer, and can potentially help you with getting a better night's sleep
Step-by-Step instructions:
1) Click on Settings.
2) Select "Display & Brightness" from the left sidebar
3) Click on "Night Shift"
4) To have this turn on, you can either manually enable this until tomorrow, or schedule when it will turn on.
a) Click on Scheduled and set what times you want this to turn on/ off.
i) For example, you can have this turn on between 7pm and 7am, during night time hours.
ii) To have this on for the majority of the day, you could select 2:00am to turn on, and 1:59am to turn off.
b) Manually enable until tomorrow - will only turn this feature off for the remainder of the day.
5) Adjust how you would like the display to appear by moving the slider between "Less Warm" (more white/ blue appearance) and "More Warm" (more yellow appearance)
The below video will show you how you can adjust this on your/ your child's iPad:
Note: this screen recording does not capture how the colour of the screen changes using the slider. However, you should be able to see this when adjusting it on your/ your child's device.
