[External Contractors] Connecting to Guildford Grammar School VPN

Introduction

This guide will walk you through the process of connecting to our VPN using the FortiGate SSL VPN web portal. This secure connection allows you to access school resources remotely.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

A valid user account created by the school.
A computer or device with internet access.

Steps to Connect

1. Access the FortiGate VPN Web Portal

Open your web browser.
Enter the SSL VPN portal address in the address bar. (https://vpn.ggs.wa.edu.au)
Log in using your assigned credentials.

2. Configure an RDP Bookmark

Once logged in, click the "New Bookmark" button.
Configure the Remote Desktop settings as below.
Name - Descriptive name for the bookmark (ie. Server Name).
Host - IP or hostname of the target server.
Username - Internal username provided by the school.
Password - Internal password provided by the school.
Security - Allow the server to choose the type of security.

Save the bookmark.

3. Connect to RDP Bookmark

After configuring the RDP bookmark, initiate the RDP connection by clicking on the bookmark on the home page.

You should now be connected to your RDP session, allowing you to work with School resources remotely.
